1. How do I buy a boat slip?
Quayside Marina in Yaletown is the only stratified, freehold marina on the west coast. Because of this, it is a very niche yet desired marina for your boat to live. Being extremely well run and cared for, this strata marina is the upper echelon when it comes to boat moorage. Fortunately, the purchase process is seamless when you use proper representation.

2. Can I finance a boat slip?
The simple answer is no. Traditional lending is nearly impossible to get because of the uniqueness of this asset. Private lending may be possible, otherwise you will need access to the full purchase price in cash.

3. Is GST applicable on the purchase?
Yes. Because these marina slip transactions are deemed a commercial transaction. GST is paid by the buyer every time a slip is sold.

4. Can I rent my slip out?
Yes. The lease agreement must be registered with the dock master and the tenant must have appropriate liability insurance coverage in place.

5. Does Quayside Marina allow Live-aboards?
No. As defined by the Vancouver Charter, "Occupied live-aboard boat" means and live-aboard boat which is used as a place of abode within the city by one or more people for a minimum of sixty consecutive or non consecutive days within a calendar year.

6. Do the slips at Quayside Marina have designated parking stalls?
Some do and some don't. Most of the larger slips (50ft+) have a designated parking stall in a parkade along Marinaside Crescent. Many of the smaller slips do not.
